Get set to party
Seating: please bring a camping chair or picnic rug, plus anything else to make yourself comfy and weatherproof.
Food: please cover any food you bring to keep those pesky insects out, and include a label listing ingredients (for people with food allergies) – you can even use this food flag template: use the blank side to write the name of the dish and try to include any allergens, or βfree-fromβ ingredient information. And if you either want or need to avoid sharing the food you bring that’s fine, too. What’s more important is to see you on the day. Oh and why not send your recipe to The Bugle β it means people can try the recipe at home if theyβve enjoyed your wonderful cooking!
Drink: please bring your own soft or alcoholic drinks. None will be provided.
Picnicware: please bring your own plates (melamine or paper), cutlery, plastic cups/beakers (no glass please).
Dogs: well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome. If you are bringing a dog, please also bring your own water and dog bowl, plus bags. Please pick up after your dog, thank you. No dogs allowed in the Old Rectory.
Entrance: the party is free to attend. Please enter either via the footpath from Tolldown Way, or the gate from the churchyard.
We can’t wait to see you there!

Sounds like a great day! Looking forward to it.
Are family who live outside the village allowed to attend?

Hi Sue, glad you can make it.
This is an invitation-only event for residents of Burton. This said, if residents have friends or family staying with them over the bank holiday, then they will of course be made very welcome.
